Did a fair quote from EWR to Far Rockaway and uber x is showing $81.
Does this make sense? Is it a new flat rate?

I did this ride in July of 2013 in an uberx and it was almost 150.

LGA is ~50 and there are no tolls and it is less than half the distance.

I don't know if it makes sense, but they did lower their prices a few months ago.

Think that's in the right ballpark but prob on the low end. 1.10/mile +.18/minute +tolls +2.25. If it takes you an hour @40 miles brings u to just under 80. Make sure the driver doesn't take the gwb.

I dont see how that makes sense that BK is cheaper than FR, as it is 20-30 min closer.
Per that link, I only see the flat rate for uber black going up, not X. CMIIW.

I had a pleasant experience. Hard to pickup in the airport since they're not allowed there. You have to either take a random shuttle to a hotel and request it from there, or you can move your location pin to a road outside the airport. Then call the driver and say you're really on the airport. I got a driver to come on my 2nd try. Otherwise, they may not be TLC like in NY, but he was still professional.
