Every year, I ask hashem to grant me the same energy for neila that I have at call nidrei. IMHO the only time that matters is that we finish on time so that those who are having a hard time fasting are able to eat.
I actually have more energy at Neila as I am so full by Kol Nidrei it makes me tired

With a name like yours, no wonder you need extra strength during Neila, after what you've just been through during Mincha.  ;D
I've been waiting over 5 years with bated breath for someone to say that!

I know it's still early but I nominate this as best post of the year.

Hopefully none. I wonder if there's any Halachic authority that would say that a pregnant woman should be fasting on Tzom Gedalia.

Agreed, but still timing makes me wonder.

My dad actually told someone to eat on YK and he was refusing saying all his friends told him he has to fast. My dad forwarded on the medical information to a bigger posek and was told its not a Shaila at all and he needs to be eating.

YK and Tzom Gedalia are probably the greatest extremes (in opposite directions) when determining whether one should fast.

I also find that most years I got a second wind of energy at neila time. As a matter of fact, usually I'm not even so hungry at the end of the fast. It's in middle when I'm hungry and weak.

Why shouldn't a woman deep into her 9th month who is able to, not fast on tzom gedalya?
I wonder what people who type "u" instead of "you" do with all their free time.

Ask any MD if fasting is recommended in the 9th month.

Most OB/GYN have no issue with fasting Yom Kippur, why would Tzom Gedalya be different? Especially in the 9th month.

You need to ask a MD if fasting in the 9th month is advisable?  :)

Having no issue with fasting on Y"K does not equal recommending a woman to fast on the most kal fast of the year.

IINM the question is a totally different question. On Tzom Gedaliah if it's not recommended, a woman shouldn't fast. On YK it's mitzvas hayom מדאורייתא.

Mimi was told not to fast for T"G in 2013 but she fasted on Y"K and went into labor less than 24 hours later.

My understanding is that when it comes to the 4 fasts, they were not instituted for the sick or pregnant. Cmiiw.

Most OBs do not recommend a fast-induced labor. I think the biggest Shayla is 9 Av (except when Nidche). I've heard so many different Psakim.

I've never heard of a Chiyuv for a pregannt woman to fast on a minor fast in the 2nd or 3rd trimester, and virtually all Poskim would say a pregnant woman should start Y"K and switch to Shiurim if feeling weak.
