Do most people say it at the end of the morning service? In Chabad we only say it at the end of the day.
We had a seder in shul about an hour after YK, 30-40 guys for at least a half hour. Highly recommended, had a very special feel to it.

I don't think anyone does it before eating. That would be pretty intense.
