Personally I'd be just fine claiming it anonymously and not even telling my kids.  Give some tzedakas some nice anon donatons and calling it a day.  Eventually move into a bigger house.

Don't you think that having the kind of opportunities that come with that amount of money would mean a responsibility for more and more complicated work?

Very wealthy people worry a lot more about money than middle income people. They have the weirdest fears and phobias and are constantly thinking about their investments and taxes.

I really think it would be impossible to hide this type of thing from your children and even if you manage it, you will spend a lot of time worrying about how they will react when they do find out. (It will happen eventually) and I bet you would not want them to win the lottery through a sudden unexpected inheritance which would mean you believe the same thing as I do about sudden wealth.

But all that aside you don't want to win $70,000,000 and donate $70,000,000 to a fund that can support 50 families in kollel for life for a few generations and you never see the money again? Or any other cause you deem worthy and just give it all to charity.

Not really. Like I said, deciding who to give it to is a big responsibility and headache and I don't really want that burden.

On top of that, who knows if I'll pass that test? I won't buy the ticket in the first place and save my self the headache.
