So this is what he said, exercise without dieting won't help.
Actually he said you can't just stuff your mouth but you do not need a major diet. In my case I did cut out a lot of junk and that did not help me. Just personal experience wasn't arguing in his premise.

I myself was doing 1 hour a night of gym for over a month and I hadn't losr a pound until I started dieting.
Maybe your fat was turning into muscle?
Only on DDF does 24/6 mean 24/5/half/half

Did you notice any size difference in the first month. Throw the scale out, size matters.  ;)

I'm sort of convinced that you lose weight on that because there are so few snacks and you rarely feel fully satisfied.

This diet generally works because its impossible to consume excess calories when on such a diet - you feel nauseous and limit intake.

Not at all. I call it the best diet ever because I'm actually never hungry (they call it THE NO HUNGER DIET) This is the only diet where you actually feel good so you can stay on it for life, it's basically a life style. Ill give you a example whst I'm eating and you tell me if its worth going on such diet.

Breakfast: only one WW bread BUT 3 eggs you can hard boil them, fry them whatever you won't ( not like all other diets where you can only eat 1 egg white) with some Vegetables poor as much oil as you want.  Or a whole Avocado with mayo and mash in a egg if you want!   Now you don't believe me that I am actually loosing weight, wait for lunch and supper menu.

Oh I know Atkins is incredible at losing weight.  I lost 60 pounds on it 9 years ago and kept it off completely for 4 years.

But since getting married 5 years ago and going through late night binge eating with my pregnant wife I've put back some 35-40 of those pounds.  Meanwhile she goes right back to her wedding weight 2 days after giving birth while it all sticks onto me and my slow metabolism.

I've tried going back on Atkins last year but I feel extremely deprived and the allowed food just starts to nauseate me.  I just love carbs too much.  And I become a total grump while on Atkins and my wife would rather have a fat husband than a miserable one.

Such a struggle  :'(

It's indeed is a struggle, I have to sit by the table when my BIL next to me is eating away.... and is skinny as my finger, and if I take 1 slice of cake, I know not to visit the scale anytime soon.  But as opposed to other diets this was my best choice. I am eating a 24 ounce steak for supper twice a week. Liver what ever way it's made. 3 Fried chicken cutlets (in nuts), as for Side dishes, my wife puts in a bag, oil, spices and Cauliflower, mixes them, then takes out the Cauliflower and bake it, It's delicious. She Frys a bag of cabbage in oil adds spices its yummy.

The diet I follow is not exactly Atkins. (this is what my diet guy told me)

And yes, you have to like protein in order to stay on this diet.

BS, BS, BS, Its all what the Corrupted Federal agencies say, do a simple Google search And you will see what the real studies have to say.

I know Many people that went on this diet and their lipid panel are great including mine. ill post a pic soon of the results if ill have a chance.
