Move furniture NY to CA

Looking for a reasonably cheap and reliable method of shipping some
used furniture (sofa, china closet and bit more) from New York to Southern California.
Please don't suggest option of dumping in NY and buying in CA. - BTDT.

Anyone heard of/had experience with California Express - they do bulk ship and drop off?
