I know that for international (overseas) flights you legally have to be an hour before the flight in the airport.
How long before is it to Canada?

Not sure what the rules are now but I was once denied boarding since I checked in 53 minutes before the flight.

But I would check in online a few hours before. Any issue with checking through less than an hour by the TSA?

Are you checking luggage? They once made me trouble in YUL about checking luggage less than an hour to the flight. I ended up making it but they weren't happy. And honestly the only reason I think they were accommodating at the time was because I was under 18.

dont do that the other way as you pre-clear customs in CA.

I flew TLV - PHL - YYZ yesterday, at YYZ I then went to my flight to CLT - FLL, I did it in under 45 min, use the customers machine, scan you're passport, take the slip to US border agents, it took 30 seconds to get stamped, then proceed to security where lines were moderately long but I got them to let me use the express lanes.

BTW in terminal 1 there is kosher food at CIBO express and others.. kinda expensive but a lifesaver for me yesterday after PHL delay

Flying on glitch tickets on Presidents week. Does anyone know the policy if flights are cancelled or delayed due to weather? I don't have the flexibility to go any other time.

referring to President's Weekend?
i.e. Dates 2/14 - 2/18?

It's still 10 days out - hard to see weather so much in advance... Where from & to?

2/16 through 19 from JFK to LAX. I just want to know policy in advance so I am prepared. If flight gets cancelled for weather, will they allow me to change dates to something in the summer? Or I just have to take next available flight?
Also, if our flight out of JFK is majorly delayed or cancelled, will they let me extend my trip another day and change my return ticket?

Domestically you can't check in luggage less than 45 min before flight, at least on AA. i onced missed my flight arriving 43 min before

2 days ago, I arrived to the airport less than an hour before the flight, but I had no luggage and was checked in before and I went to security with no issues.

Why would that possibly be an issue?
I've arrived less than 30 minutes before departure without bags and has no issue...who would cause the issue?
