I know of 2 other people that were supposed to be on the same flight and didn't go because of a scheduling conflict... I guess that's why they oversell flights...

I read on some blog that if your obese and you buy 2 seats, delta will not give you miles on both because the miles is per person flown not per ticket, where United and AA will give it to you.

I will try checking in twice, stating that it is my right, if I purchased them and then go online after and try to put in my mileage number

Both of your tickets will be cancelled since they will be seen as a duplicate booking.

When someone books 2 tickets for himself because of obesity they don't put the same name on both tickets.

Ha! Problem is usually before they bump someone, they do a walk thru and check the airplane for any extra seats. Since I won't be sitting in them they will give them up.

THey won't le me cancel the coach, they told me they will only allow the business ones, and those I want!

Will they still call me? I faxed it in only after Dan posted that you don't need to fax and you can call in to a supervisor. I'm hoping to stall until my flight dates have passed and swap it for a summer trip

Hey everyone, I originally booked two tickets during my spring break but just realized that I'd be flying on Purim during one leg :/ . Has anyone managed to change the date on these tickets?

What name do they use for the second ticket that is purchased (as you say) "because of obesity"?

sounds a bit fabricated... if no-one checks in with the name on the ticket, then they sell it to the next person... if it's under some random name, then they wouldn't allow you to check in under that name...

Hehe, 'tis a posibility. Though, it would be nice to avoid it all together and change the flight to that night. Has anyone had any luck changing these flights?

I tried. HUCAed awhile back with sadly no results other then to change the tickets and pay the price difference.

I booked 2 extra one way business class tickets from LAX to JFK for tomorrow Jan 13
I am in NY already..

Any idea how i can save it?

The delta website asks for 200 per ticket to change the date
Will I be able to change the date again with no extra fee?

I was able to change my dates within 24 hours, but it's possible that it's only because I had been cancelled and then re-booked by Delta. Whatever the case, I changed my dates about 4 times within the 24 hour period because my friends couldn't decide when they wanted to go.
