Just got this email from Orbitz. Anyone else get one of these?
Dear xxxxxxxx,
The US Department of Transportation has forwarded your complaint to Orbitz customer relations, wherein you complained about a ticket which was not issued to you for travel on Delta Airlines. We have reviewed this matter thoroughly and we regret any inconvenience which you may have encountered.
After submitting your reservation to Delta on December 26, 2013 for the Delta flights you selected, Delta advised Orbitz that they filed the fare you selected in error and instructed Orbitz to not issue a ticket for the reservation you selected. As an agent of Delta, we are required to follow their instructions in matters such as the issuance of tickets. Subsequently, you were advised that no tickets were issued and your credit/debit card was not charged for the purchase. We understand your disappointment with this situation, and we are truly sorry that the incident has affected your travel planning experience.
As a gesture of our sincerity, Orbitz would like to offer you a $100 USD future travel voucher on your next prepaid Orbitz.com airline, hotel or vacation package booking. Our voucher is meant to emphasize our commitment to you, and we remain hopeful you will continue using Orbitz for your travel planning needs.
Here are the instructions for the future travel voucher:
When you make your next prepaid airline, hotel, or vacation package booking on Orbitz.com, please forward a copy of the Orbitz Travel Document e-mail to us at travelvoucher@Orbitz.com. Please reference case number xxxxxxxx and this email offering the $100 voucher in your request. Orbitz will then issue a credit to the card used for the new prepaid booking. This offer is valid until January 9, 2015.
Thank you for your feedback.
Kind regards,
Orbitz Customer Care Team
