FOR PRICELINE RESERVATIONS WITH BOOKING FAILURE
Call Priceline 1800-259-2091 dial 3 and then 1 and ask for the contract receipt.
Then fax the contract to Delta with your name, email and phone number to 1801-575-3000
UPDATE: It is no longer necessary to fax in anything to Delta. Just call Delta direct, with the priceline conf number, ask for a supervisor, and they are honoring all tickets! ;D

This is really killing the chill...JFK- LAX, they put me on a flight now with 2 stopovers. I told them no way. They said they can refund the purchase price of the ticket, but that doesnt help me, as I paid almost nothing for them!
I want compensation!!

Even if they don't agree to give you anything, at least you get extra mileage for flying the longer routes.

In light of Dan's post here and his posting on the main site, I am very torn on where to credit my flights I got through the glitch. I have tons of UR and Starwood points so I am not very concerned about earning points on Alaska or Korean. What I really want is elite status. I looked at Alaska and Korean's elite program and it seems that you have to fly a nice amount of miles on their airlines to achieve elite status through them. Further Alaska's elite status wont do anything for me if I want to take advantage of benefits while flying on partners (excluding Delta - at least that's what I understand). So is it worth it for me to just credit to Delta to get elite status and be able to take advantage of it on many more airlines? Any thoughts?

You need to give them your ID. It depends how old the kids are.

Point well taken.

My question is: is elite status worth anything in Korean and/or Alaska? Or am I better off pursuing elite status through Delta?

What kid has ID? Besides even if a adult dosent have a id all they do is give a full pat down. And with the child if ur nervous bring birth certificate. cant hurt. I flew twice last month with my 4 yr old and no one blinked a eye lash

Managed to get Delta to switch times on my booking, but maybe because I had a weird situation...

DH booked early on Glitch Day and got confirmed immediately, but the hours kind of sucked (Memorial Day weekend Departing JFK 12 Friday, Arriving LAX 3 pm, and then Departing LAX 4 pm Monday, Arriving 9 pm) and would essentially only leave us 3 days in LA over Shabbat. I was booking at the same time, but due to overlapping dates the system cancelled my ticket automatically as a dup.

I tried calling a few times to have the times of the confirmed ticket changed but each time was told that there were absolutely no changes allowed. I also wanted to cancel my toddler's ticket since we decided not to take her but they would not refund it. So I took a diff route. I told them about the duplicate booking and they said if I managed to get the contract number from Priceline they would honor the second booking and cancel the first. This was awesome for us not only because of the better times (D 7 am, A 10 am, and D 11 pm, A 7;45 am) but also because I had not booked  DD on my booking.

After staying on hold with Delta for eternity while they verified a bunch of inconsistent information with Priceline, they actually switched the times of the confirmed booking and refunded DD's ticket.

As an aside, Delta had changed the times on the return flight after my booking, so the Priceline itinerary actually showed different times than what Delta was seeing on their end. They refused to change us to a different flight that had the original times.

I guess my long-winded point is, if you have a strange situation it still doesn't hurt to try!

How much flying do you plan on doing within the year? You need a fair amount of flying for status. Also, Delta has a spending requirement (ie even if you earn the 25k MQM's necessary for Silver, you still need to have spent $2500 on tickets to qualify).

I fly somewhat often for business and I already have close to a thousand MQDs because of that and I spent a few hundred on a short Aearolineas Argentinas which I can tack on as well so I think I can at least reach silver this year. My question really is, is Alaska and/or Korean's elite program any good? Because if it isn't I'd go for Delta's. Unless there's another airline in Skyteam that's worthwhile (I dont want to do FB due to requirement of flying on a paid ticket - dont wanna risk losing miles).

Alaska miles are worth way more than Delta miles, add in the fact that upgrades as a Silver on Delta are pretty low and the spending requierment.. makes much more sense to stick to Alaska...

But what benefits to I get from alaska elite status that would make it worthwhile? If hypothetically, I dont care about the miles at all and only care about status, wouldnt Delta make more sense?
