our lax hon flight was disaster was an evening flight all we got was hummus some other orange dip a roll apple souce, pastry and oj.
no main course.

do you think I can get something from delta?

I got more than that on my 1h flight to Atlanta

yeah I was on the route too was much better got real flatware not plastic like on thela hon flight.
I can't upload the pic now becuase its too large.
I got a flatbed on atl-lax flight and real first class service they said the plane was int'l plane (down side no wifi)

JFK-LAX in business had decent food. They came around a few times with snacks, many of which were kosher and the meal was surprisingly good. Came with real silverware, it was chicken and veggies. Didn't taste like airplane food, although I wouldn't pay for it at a restaurant. l I forgot to take pics, maybe on the way back.

I flew icelandair from BOS-RKV in coach and they actually had mealmart meals. They were pretty awful. I spoke to a friend who's dad owns mealmart and he informed me that they stopped producing airline meals 10 years earlier

The airline has to buy new flatware and silverware periodically. They send some new ones over to the kosher caterer, and those are sealed into the kosher meals. Once the passenger finishes with the dishes, they are recirculated into regular service.

I flew JFK-LAX last week. Had real flatware on the outbound and plastic on the return. The food was much better on the outbound than the return.

I don't think so. they came in the package engraved delta on it. the caterer most probably uses airline flatware and just kashers them before each use.

Good to know. Contrary to popular belief, glass does have significant kashrus issues.
