Where should I credit these flights?
« on: September 03, 2013, 03:29:33 PM »
Sorry for the random sounding topic, but a cursory search didn't find any better threads to add into.

So I've got some friends flying the following itin, and they said I could keep the miles for myself.

TLV - FCO - LAX on Alitalia
NYC - AMS - TLC on DL and KLM (The KLM flight is under a DL code, but isn't eligible for Alaska mile accruals)

I'm either going to open up FF accounts in their name, or add in my FF#'s onto their reservations.

So what are your recommendations? If I credit e/t to DL, I'll come out w/ 13k miles in each account, which is a nice start if I transfer in MR in the future, but w/ their lack of one-way reservations, they'll be worth even less than 'sky-pesos' to me.

Any advice where to credit these?

Won't work.

Look into xferring into KE (for a head start on KE F OW), or perhaps FB (for NYC<->TLV OW)?

I'll have to chk their accrual rates. When a friend flew on their metal, they only credited 25% of base miles.

Also, any idea if they're strict about using s/o else's ff#, or will they not credit the miles?

Also, anyone know how I can chk the booking class of the flights which were booked on Orbitz? That will determine what FF I use.
