The new rental car location at Newark airport is not in a convenient location if you are landing in terminals B and C. The airtran station is not indoors and requires a 5-minute walk outside followed by a 7-minute walk indoors to get to the center. However, there is a bus between terminals post security that drops you off in terminal A right by the exit to the rental car center. I'm not sure how much time you save, but it's definitely an easier and more enjoyable experience :-)
