Lazy Bean is best milchig place in teaneck by a mile. Not a big menu at all. But the salads are great, service is solid, and their drinks are A++. The Peanut butter shake is a personal favorite.

see that where i disagree, part of the expensive price is the plating the way things are presented the very expensive ingredients they use like Truffle, Dry aged meat, these things are very expensive.
the problem is when restaurants that serve u OK food for the price of high end places, i dont mind spending $200 + on a meal if its A+++
    That's what I say exactly
$26 for a small bowl of gnocchi and I need to believe that there is some hints of pastrami in it and that it isn't frozen bought stuff nor handmade...lol

How does La Brochette not get any love? Gosh it's good.
It's an off the radar restaurant and really decent consistent for many years now , always had great experience there, very quiet and nice ambiance

Its probably not for you.... the point I see from them is that are very consistent and most high end restaurant's aa far I see isn't consistent, they are a real combination of great food ,flavor, service and most of all they have 2 floors and best who wants a quite date night or not the real noisy restaurants, parking is ok there, very professional vibe and not huge crowds because it's not a huge restaurant, nothing to go crazy over, but as mentioned earlier decent consistent restaurants is hard to find these days and they are not overrated with pricing and all the funny raw food and pizza stuff
    Definitely worth a try

And crazy expensive for what you get. Poppy’s has more food options (that are very good) and amazing smoothies and frapps. Much better place in my opinion.

Their coffee is gross though. Their food is tasty. My kids love it there.

Haven't tried the pizza yet. Hobo sandwich is really good. My wife really likes their grilled cheese. My daughter devours their pancakes. Smoothies and frapps are great, large and only $5.50.
My only wish is that it had more seating and looked nicer, but if they renovated, then they'd probably raise their prices. :P

    Poppys did renovate
And they don't serve chalav yisroel if you don't ask , not all milky products they have chalav yisroel,
And I think its very wrong for restaurants to have both , its confusing and not possible to mix up

I know that this is kinda of renovated, still looks like a blah pizza place. Didn't know they serve C"Y. Not really necessary for the town they're in, but I agree it can be confusing.

Well a most important point about this discussion here. Every restaurant in teaneck that I discussed with them about their business, they clearly told me they rely and stay in business only because they have a big percentage of out of towners , especially the high end restaurants they are in business only from out of towners like monsey and monroe customers specifically and all kind of just passbyers or guest from all over driving by and  employees and businesses in the area during the day for lunch and early dinner ,one high end restaurant told me many years ago that about 75 percent of his business is from out of town, that's the only reason most dairy restaurants have CY , if not they wouldn't carry CY at all , nobo for instance is a usual night packed with chasidish couples or guys .

Interesting, could be. Makes sense for the high-end. Not enough locals who eat out at a steakhouse every night. Same for the city - I'm sure most business is not from Manhattanites. But the small pizza places? I dunno... I often recognize enough people in Poppys, EJs, Sammys when I go.

Well that it could be so many pizza shops its because of this , I have worked in ridgefield park many years ago , almost daily tons of workers ordered from teaneck daily , so goes to tons and tons of Jewish owned companies surrounded around teaneck , and they get alot of business from that and also business lunch in nobo is very popular and busy because of this

Manhattan is a tourist destination and attraction point to go out for an outing so it makes sense besides business meeting with customers vs teaneck that is far from a tourist destination

    Correct
But all dairy restaurants besides Sammy's are CY because customers have asked for it ! Poppys frozen yogurt isn't CY but besides that they are mostly cy
