Their system usually will not allow 2 separate reservations on the same flight not on the same itinerary to ticket, but I have had success before with having an agent book it manually. I guess it's YMMV...
How about making the new reservation in a slightly different name? Then after cancelling the first res, correct the name on the second. Is that possible? Would it work?
spelling mistake?
Long story short, I have 2 different reservations on the same LH flight. One is rev in Y and the second one is an award in J. Now I obviously intend to sit in J, but I'd at least like to get the mileage from the res in Y. Any ideas?
Check-in twice?
Chances are that one reservation will be automatically canceled.
That's not good. Any idea when something like that would happen?
Not sure, ask a TA.
I've done this before.
I bought an extra seat on the Delta glitch last year so I could have a seat for my child who was born between the glitch and my flight a few months later.Gate agent was a little confused at first, but scanned both by seats (under my name) without an issue.
