if ur part of National's emeral club, which is free 2 join & reserve a midsize car u can pick any car in the aisle, every time I've done it there have been minivans but no guarentee

I need an 8 seater and it seems like any national rental place only has 7 seaters (we are actually 9 people so we definitely can't do a 7 seater van). Has anyone found an LA rental place with 8 seaters that has decent reviews?

I am traveling 1/19-1/21. Yes, Delta :-)

Dollar.com in LAX usually has very good rates. You need to search them directly not thru a search engine (kayak, orbits etc) then when the cars show up, you can click where it said, show specials for this city. (do not click prepaid as the rate is higher)

FYI: Dollar is decent but not the same standards as Hertz, Avis, etc

Dollar also has nothing bigger than a 7 seater. Has anyone actually rented from LAX Van Rentals - they have 8 seaters supposedly, but lousy reviews.

I would keep far away from any non popular car rentals esp at Lax. Even Budget in Lax is privately owned, and had horrible experiences there.
