Just Google her name, sylvia ash
Okay, is there any reason to think her alleged corruption had an effect on this case?

There weren't consent forms,
However there were some forms that he signed that he was buying merchandise with the cc
That sounds like a consent for him to be using the credit line for his own purposes.

That would not make him any less of a ganif but can make a big difference in the available claims in court.
Just because things turned out a certain way doesn't mean you were right.

He obviously didn't fulfil his obligation to pay on time, but the charge was not an unauthorized one.

Well if he wasn't buying merchandise with it than it was unauthorized

This is looking more and more like a breach of contract case and not straight up fraud. Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.
Please wear a mask.

That is a lesson that some seem to have learned the hard way.

He had a 1 million dollar loan from BOA, plus other loans I think

For the most part, I don't believe people are claiming the charges were not authorized. He often did swipe peoples cards for unauthorized amounts at unauthorized times. But the point of the letter is that he was not authorized to swipe the card to use it to pay someone else's swiped card and cycle the funds to pay other peoples cards off. He made a promise to use it for legitimate business spend and a promise to repay. Both of which he failed to do.

BH I had no involvement in any of these cases. But if legal means fail to produce any sort of payment plan, I'm surprised everyone seems content to let him live out his life peacefully.

Anyone whoever met striecher in person would never have signed such a form. I met him a few times in Denver. He was a very unsophisticated person when he was talking to me about finance among other things. As an aside didn't he have issues with a real estate deal like a decade ago?

Weird that home value was a factor. I'd think swiping at own business is more than enough for closure.
Save your time, I don't answer PM. Post it in the forum and a dedicated DDF'er will get back to you as soon as possible.
