Dan's warning to DDF:
I hope people realize that any buying group or anyone else that gets merchandise in advance of payment can go south at any time. That's even if you get a check at the time of delivery.
X-posting as I don't want anyone to say that I never put a warning here.

A story that ended up in court - https://iapps.courts.state.ny.us/nyscef/DocumentList?docketId=iRcRHuyZUdOIx69D00a5XQ==&display=all&courtType=Kings%20County%20Supreme%20Court&resultsPageNum=1

I am one of the biggest buyers for buying groups, I have done millions in transactions and have sent to every group there is over the past 3 years. Most buying groups are okay, some scan in slower than others, some pay slower than others - most will lose a few packages over the year. You can research and find which are better for you.

However there is a bigger problem now with Amazon itself.  Amazon in the past has been great with any problems always ready with a refund for lost packages even if it was thousands of dollars. Lately Amazon has clamped down and has tagged these buying groups addresses  in their systems as "freight forwarder" and now no longer will fix any problem you have whatsoever. Doesn't matter what the problem is, even if it shows the package was never delivered, amazon will not help you in any way. Their copy and paste response will always be "this item was sent to a freight forwarder and we're unable to replace or refund the item. We recommend contacting your freight forwarder for more details, as we don't have any more insight or information regarding this matter, For more information about sending items via freight forwarders, please visit our Help Pages: https://www.amazon.com/gp/help/customer/display.html?nodeId=201117950." As well the amazon drivers either must know this or have been increasingly bad at delivering packages because the numbers of packages missing has gone up astronomically. Previously you would have very few packages missing, now the past 3 months I have had 59 "lost" packages. I now have over $15,000 of loses and some guy in Delaware is probably living the life with all the stuff he stole from me. I will survive, I have made a lot more than $15,000 over the years however just a warning to others here that things are not as they used to be and it really is no longer worth doing buring groups with all the loses piling up

No no, that's not how this works.

Come on. These people deserve to be exposed. No point arguing semantics.

The scammers yes. People sending insulting messages based on an opinion (whether right or wrong) I'm not so sure about.
The only reason to include a name is to insult the person back. If that's the case the reply isn't any better than the original message.
Here it is slightly different as cmey and skyguy said because it's a DDF name. But I still think aygart is right that people might know him.
And besides even if people don't know him like I said before it hurts feelings and won't be any different than the sender.
Plus if someone doesn't answer back maybe it would be considered הנעלבים ואין עולבים

As with a lot of my posts, I don't think them through so much so if anybody has any criticism or corrections, it's always welcome :)

The point is not that he is insulting. The point is that he doesn't view the scamming of people as a crime, but the warning of @cmey not to get involved in such scams as something that deserves a thrashing. That is why he should be exposed as someone to stay far away from, as he will scam you as well.

cmey , It was not nice of me to send you that message especially calling you those names at the end, and also if I wanted to tell you off nicely i should have done it in a more dignified manner instead of lashing out like that, for that I am sorry and I hope you can forgive me.          this is part of the pm I sent to cmey, since he posted my message publicly i need to post mine.
and yelped I have done business with many people on this forum  who can testify to me being honest ( you can pm me ill provide you a bunch of references, ), not to mention the tens of people that  I know for may years and did transactions with face to face. I do not think scamming would be even remotley okay. However  just dont think it is right to post story about this Lakewood guy , when he has no chance of ever doing this to anyone again as he for sure is out of business right now.this is a story that should be contained in Lakewood for people there to deal with not posted publicly,  I dont know who the guy is but he sounds like someone who slipped up and kept digging a deeper hole because he could not get out of it.  however ,it  still did not justify  me to send cmey that nasty message. as far as this forum is concerned people know me  on here and I  still could not care less what  people write. i think its pretty funny actually that people have time to dwell on something on a message between 2 people.

Apology accepted. I know your criticism was coming from the right place. You didn’t want the guy to suffer needlessly by being needlessly exposed.  Yet that criticism could have been conveyed to me in a gentler way. From my end, my intention was never to hock, or expose that particular guy needlessly. Even if I was confident that I had both sides of the story with all of the relevant details,  I would name him only if it would prevent further harm to people in the event he was actively continuing to solicit people.

My intention in posting the story itself was to warn people of similar guys who are marketing sign up bonuses for giving over their social security # etc. There have been warnings about this for for quite some time; look at the start date of this thread. Yet people continue to sign up for these things, thinking it will never happen to them. And the sad stories just keep on coming.

It’s not even that all of these people are scammers. Some will just use the credit cards they sign people up for to finance their Amazon selling business and the like. Easy way to meet the cc signup threshold to get the bonus points, and easy access to capital for the Amazon business. it sounds like a win win for everyone. Then one bad batch of merchandise is a write off, and they find themselves having to use new credit card signups to buy additional merchandise to sell and pay off the previous credit cards balances that are still outstanding. A couple more losing deals, and what sounded like a sure bet quickly spirals out of control.

People who are desperate or naive hear the good stories with the easy signup bonus money, and don’t want to believe that there really is any risk involved
Hearing that it actually just happened and may ruin a yungerman financially will hopefully drive home the point that these things do happen and convince people to stay away. התורה חסה על ממונם של ישראל.

Bout time for one. Make it. I've made to many threads in my life I've even been banned from super seekrit WhatsApp groups because of it.
I'm not who you think I am.
