Circulating a half a billion for what? He must of had a very very big business if those were his CF needs.
Or maybe his business *was* circulating cash..

It's fine, I don't feed my kids with likes.

Easy for you to say! How many kids are you feeding? Besides, with gold pouring out of your ears, who needs likes?

We who are blessed with B.H. large families with many kids, really need a steady stream of DDF Likes!
I've been waiting over 5 years with bated breath for someone to say that!

Seeing as you have more likes than me you seem to be doing just fine.

The question is what's the Likes/Kids ratio? For some 'round here, that's infinity (or more accurately "undefined").

Not till Dan etc actively warn people about credit cards the way cigarettes have warnings will people wake up.

Ruining your credit is serious, buying a house, car, what about if you start a business ?!

Personally I would be opposed to dating / marrying someone with bad credit .

There are a lot more serious things in life than one's credit. Yes, keeping a good credit score (and no outstanding debt) is an excellent thing, and the right thing, but there's more to life than that. I wish upon no-one the נסיונות that I've heard from friends and family, but when those happen, one has to forget about good credit, and do what's right for the נשמות involved.

There's life after bad credit, there's life after financial disaster. Other problems or issues could be much greater and life altering (or C"V ending - see silent killer thread). Or as a friend and neighbor once put it: Any problem that could be solved with money is not a real problem!

I am gonna say something that may be a bit controversial and will get flack for this and will probably delete this comment, but here goes.

Dan as owner of Dan's Deals has an achrayus to post on DDMS or a general disclaimer by every cc post as he currently has for amex.

I live in the same orbit as people like Dan that do not look at a cc as free money, nor do I spend anything unless I have the cash or plan to pay it right away.

But there is a significant portion of people who have no handle and understanding of debt, and just max out cards. I know many who are deep in debt because they just charge their cc when they don't have enough income. Instead of financial discipline and following programs like Dave Ramsey, or working more hours they take the easy path and Max out cards.

This is not Dan's fault but the people read ddms and see the huge sign up bonuses and nice trips that Dan and others take using points and they get sucked into the cc world. And once they have a cc it is downhill from there.

I wish Dan would have someone have a guest column on ddms about how to budget and live within means and build wealth.

Many jump into cc because of ddms but they are ill equipped to deal with the temptation and responsibility that comes along with it.

So yes, I do feel Dan should be posting about this on ddms, not as a scoop on the scammer with exact details, rather as part of a general series about fiscal responsibility

If I get flack for this I will delete. sorry in advance

FTR, at the beginning of every DDS Dan goes on for a while saying exactly this. If you are not disciplined, this game is not for you, the points are just not worth it if you will go into debt because of the spend.

True but everyone thinks it does not apply to them. A continuous series on the topic of ppl who got scammed or general tips on this subject would probably help more

Again, in no way is it Dan's fault, it is similar to why what'sapp started indicating forwarded messages as such and limiting the amount of ppl who you can forward to at once. It wasnt what'sapp fault that ppl in India where getting killed. But what'sapp still felt an achrayus to help combat the issue
