maybe you are just picky ?
you are marrying someone for money? or for credit ? what is next? you ask how much money that have in the bank ?
Just send in the form that yeshiva make you fill out.
Make of car, how many points, cost of house/mortgage...
I'm not who you think I am.

Personally I would be opposed to dating / marrying someone with bad credit .

I wouldn't say bad credit would keep be Something to look into before dating, but to know if shes something like this:

But there is a significant portion of people who have no handle and understanding of debt, and just max out cards. I know many who are deep in debt because they just charge their cc when they don't have enough income. Instead of financial discipline and following programs like Dave Ramsey, or working more hours they take the easy path and Max out cards.

That would be helpful to know and be taken into account
I'm not who you think I am.

There are a lot more serious things in life than one's credit. Yes, keeping a good credit score (and no outstanding debt) is an excellent thing, and the right thing, but there's more to life than that. I wish upon no-one the נסיונות that I've heard from friends and family, but when those happen, one has to forget about good credit, and do what's right for the נשמות involved.

There's life after bad credit, there's life after financial disaster. Other problems or issues could be much greater and life altering (or C"V ending - see silent killer thread). Or as a friend and neighbor once put it: Any problem that could be solved with money is not a real problem!
The problem may be more the underlying attitudes that got them into the mess than the mess itself

maybe some good is coming out of this
if some people are divorcing their spouse because of money.
maybe its better that it happened this way instead of being married to a gold digger
Perhaps just in this thread, but for your own sake, and ours, you should probably have someone you trust and admire review your posts before you commit to posting.

This comment is so out of touch its astonishing. Tsk Tsk.

True but everyone thinks it does not apply to them. A continuous series on the topic of ppl who got scammed or general tips on this subject would probably help more

Again, in no way is it Dan's fault, it is similar to why what'sapp started indicating forwarded messages as such and limiting the amount of ppl who you can forward to at once. It wasnt what'sapp fault that ppl in India where getting killed. But what'sapp still felt an achrayus to help combat the issue

How will that make them realize that it is addressed to them?

Which banks? (AMEX is different than all others)
Business or personal accounts? (Different sets of issues)
One personís credit on the line or couple? (Might affect overall strategy).

And

How much money are you out? How long were you doing it for?

The problem may be more the underlying attitudes that got them into the mess than the mess itself

I got myself into huge cc debt and someone who I'm forever grateful to help me pull out.

I'm not a spendrift, I just spent a long time on a very profitable contract that didn't pan out, I ignored my cards and was paying 600 a month in interest

Now I bust my butt every month to pay the interest free principal transfer.

I drive the cheapest car I could lease, my phone is old, I try not to drink anything but cheap good wine lol and my biggest expenses are travel related mostly funded by points from healthy churn.

And looking back, I don't think anyone should get married without a clear handle on finances..

I know when I iyh marry I will approach 1 friend who is a top CPA and a group of friends who are very successful investor's and have them invest my wedding funds as a trust for my kids education.

I've thought it out and recognized priorities

In that case you are an example of how people can change from these underlying attitudes.
