Interesting discussion, I was actually thinking about making a similar software.
I would charge with tiers on a monthly / yearly plan. The problem with his current pricing is with smaller buying groups, it's a cost they can't afford.

There's a device called a wikireader. They don't make it anymore or have official updates (you can find some on Reddit) I have it and think it's awesome. I think it would be more awesome to have it on a e-reader of some sort.

In general cloud software lags because multi channel integration at least used to be difficult.

Multi channel sales platforms used to drive me nuts, back before FBA, if you had 10 widgets and multiple channels, it was a pita to be on top of stock allocation per channel etc

But yes I had those ideas 15 years ago and wasted tens of thousands on dev for stupid stuff lol

My dream was to track cost of goods, qty in, allocation per sales channel, auto adjust per sales, aggregated sales reports on volume and profits

But I'm old school. Xcart, Magento, eBay . Those were my markets

Dont use chase,they will shut your checking account and all associated cc's.(some cc's may slip through the cracks and get spared) not worth the risk

This guy has 2 options. Either percentage of profits or an amount for every dollar that's scanned through the system.
It usually equals out to the same

I have a suggestion for the programmer behind the platform used by most BG’s.

Make something for the buyers for easy consolidation, since they have access to all the transactions, we the buyers upload the excel file downloaded from amazon. And they should link them to each BG using the shipping address as reference, and check for missing orders and price discrepancies, I would pay a small monthly or per transaction fee to have it automated, 1 or 2 orders missing and you waste hours looking for it and you lose money .

If BGs are making money on unclaimed orders, they’re going to balk that the platform is making money from their buyers and losing them money in the process.

Easy Reconciliation

I place orders on the go. Meaning not a a computer. So I don’t have the means of entering this info on a excel sheet when I place the order.

When I get a email with shipping notification, I follow that link and I copy the tracking number and enter it into the receiving BG’s portal order management, so I know if my orders were all checked in. Currently I have 5 tracking numbers in the order management which are over a month old and not checked in. but I don’t know which items they were.
Amazon does not show tracking number on the website on orders over a month. I have to wait till amazon fixes the ordering reports to find that information.

Another issue I have now. A BG sent me a email that they received a item which they are not buying. All they gave me was a tracking number , they don’t know from whom it’s from. Amazon, walmart, Home Depot or any other vendors, I have to wait till the warehouse calms down from the holiday rush so they can tell me which item it was and it maybe to late for me to return it.

Still not clear the exact problem you're having. I use a spreadsheet and never had any issues; I can tell you my process and maybe that will help.
- I have a spreadsheet for BGs - each BG gets its own tab.
- When I place an order I enter the order into a new row in the corresponding spreadsheet tab - including how much I paid
- When it ships I enter the tracking info into their system - including a description of the order
- When it's delivered I mark it on my spreadsheet with the date
- When they scan it, I enter the amount scanned on my spreadsheet
- (Extra credit: I have a couple calculated fields in the spreadsheet to keep track of how much they owe me)

Pretty simple system; and I've never had to spend hours finding anything. Just make sure you enter everything into your spreadsheet as it happens.


ETA: This was written before your edit. You can still enter everything into a spreadsheet the next time you sit in front of the computer - just go through your emails (label the emails for easy filtering). And/or you can use Google Sheets which has a mobile app.
