from the answer I got above seems BA is the way to go. Look at each leg separately on aa award saver then login to ba site and click book with miles and find the same dates. 7500 ba each way.

i have never planned a trip so i dont know the first thing about it. i have  miles to use. i would like to know the cheapest way to get to florida for 2 adults and 2 children with a place a stay dont need luxury, need to rent a car. dont know how to book anything with points or the best way to find good deals. want to go the beach and near things to do for 2 and 5 year old girls. trip will be over shabbos so would like shul and meals for that to. can anyone help me with this? thanks!

Southwest does have direct flights from Philly to Ft Lauderdale, maybe it's just easier to look for those
