Appraisal thread
« on: January 01, 2014, 10:11:12 PM »
Had a question about vintage electronics but didn't find a thread for it, figured it might be a good idea to start one.

What are vintage electronics new in box worth? By vintage, I mean anything circa 2005 or earlier.

Of course, to offer an accurate appraisal one would have to know the specifics, but my question is more general: how are electronics appraised?

Comparison shipping on ebay and amazon.

What interests you about such stuff? I'd thought you meant vintage as in 1950's lamps..

I'm thinking about making some long-term investments, by buying up new in box vintage electronics.

By long-term I mean 10+ years.

Observing Ebay and Amazon will tell you roughly what it's worth right now, but the whole picture can change in a decade.
