Changing your mind about checked bags
« on: January 02, 2014, 10:08:43 AM »
What happens if you do online check in, and indicate that you are checking a bag, but then due to the lateness of the hour you decide not too. Does that mess anything up in their system when you are trying to board since they are expecting a bag from you but realize when you want to board that they never got the bag?
Is there any drawback to adding a bag by online check in, if you may not use it?

No clue if this is true but each airline may have a different policy...

I did it with Delta at LGA.

What exactly can they do to you? Force you to create baggage to check in?

Unless you're paying for the luggage, in that case they might not refund you but I have no idea. I wouldn't pay for luggage unless I knew that I needed it.
