Criminal Use of Membership Rewards

I was listening to the Opie and Anthonyshow from Thursday 2 weeks ago and they were talking briefly about using MRs, and discussing how everything needs crazy points. Anthony said he had ~900K points and used it to get himself a Canon 5d MarkIII.  I found myself grimacing in pain when I heard that.
Just because he has money to live nicely is no excuse to spend thousands extra on first class flights.

Just thought i'd share my horror.

@167.66 points per $$ and 5d @ 3,399 @ Canon website it would cost him 567K to pay it and still be left with 150k+ points.
