If I book a flight with TB points and cancel...do the points get redeposited or do I have to pay a fee?

Sorry, I should be clearer...if I cancelled, would the taxes and fees be credited back to my credit card or would I get jetblue travelbank credit?

Thanks. That's what I was afraid of. Was looking at a flight out of Bahamas and the fees are really high so don't want to get stuck with that much travel bank credit.

Would I have the same issue if I booked via Chase UR portal?

Used to be a way to extend it. Haven't gotten it to work in years.

Does Mosaic status still come with the ability to gift the benefits to someone else?

How do I use mosaic status on an AA flight?
Looking to get extra comfort seat.
Was told I have to do this day of the flight at the airport.
Can’t do it in advance, like with a jet blue flight.
Anyone have experience?

Sure can. Just associate FFN with the reservation. Can select preferred seats right away and Main Cabin Extra within 24 hours.

Was cut a while ago. AS and UA still fly that route.

First time I've had a real problem with a Jet blue flight.
Flight was supposed to leave dec 1 (thursday) at 3:59.
Didn't board the plane till 7:30. Finally left around 8ish.

They gave out free water and cheez its.
Then gave food vouchers for $12 for supper (the vouchers said lunch).

They gave each passenger $50 in travel bank a couple of days later.

We bought dinner about 10 minutes before they gave vouchers. The stores wouldn't refund the money for the vouchers. :(

Any other recourse we can get from Jet Blue? I have Mosaic Status.

Any tips? I was issued a travel bank credit for flights that got canceled due to COVID way back in March of 2020. I extended them back when Dan posted about Jet blue's extension for expired credits. Unfortunately we spaced and credits expired 10/10/2022- are we stuck?

On JetBlues revamped website when you book through amex travel and try cancel with 24 hours on JetBlue website  it only lets you refund back to amex but not to a travel bank like it used to in the past (which was very helpful in allowing to stack 35% amex rebate and 50 off 100 coupon JetBlue had last week.  And many other advantages beyond the scope of this post)

I am assuming after 24 hours it will allow but haven't tried it yet ?
Also haven't tried if it's the same situation when booking through chase

they also dont let you use travel bank anymore to pay taxes on award tickets. meaning for every award ticket you cancel that you booked for other people you will lose 5.60 [as it will open a new travel bank for them....]
