We are not in a position to fight back. Not until moshiach comes. It'l just aggravate them more, always has. Since we cannot win against antisemitism, the best defense is to run away from confrontation, if it comes running after you, take the blow and keep on running.
While I definitely agree there are MANY times where you're best off to just "keep on walking" to think this way in general is extremely dangerous IMO.
I'm not talking about this specific situation. I've basically been following this thread and sighing. While it's nice to see Jewish people rally together to stand up for something I personally don't believe this business with the bad ratings for the app is a good use of our energy, but to each their own. It does seem a bit a silly to me and I don't think it's going to accomplish anything.
There are other ways.
But thinking we're not in a position to fight back? If we're not aware of the things that go on with antisemitism and don't bring attention to them when needed we are easily letting the world get to a very scary place. Sometimes it's our duty to "fight back" and bring attention to the issues at hand for our own safety.
I don't think this specific situation is one of them but again that's my own feeling.
Why are we all so surprised an American Newspaper would write such a thing? Have you forgotten the world we live in?
They're trying to sell papers folks.
