Sheva Brachos in Brooklyn / Flatbush

How many people are you having?

We made last week Thursday in Glatt ala carte for 40 people and paid (cash) just about under $2000 all included. I attended last night Sheva bruches at china Glatt, it wasn't bad but no comparisant.

That's $50 pp.. Expensive

Some folks here are raving about Orchidea; I can't remain silent. I have eaten there and have had sour experiences.

The portions I found to be rather small, and the food mediocre.
Only nice thing I have to say is very nice presentation.  This is just one man's experience, take it or leave it.

On one specific ocassion I was there for a sheva brachos, and not only did I get sick (for at least a day) from the food, but the choson later told me he also took ill.

China Glatt: IME not bad.

Venezia (milchig): food is outstanding, always good, but pricey, and it gets extremely crowded.  Although it's the same ownership, I wouldn't rate the food at  Renaissance nearly as good. I was not impressed by the food at Renaissance.

I remember the one time I went to a Sheva Brochos at Orchidea and I must agree with everything you said above, plus I heard it's pricey. As far as Venezia, keep in mind there's a totally separate room upstairs that keeps you away from the noise (other than your own). We're going to T-Fusion IYH tonite - wife's BD. Looking forward.

We went to Essen tonight and everything we tried was seriously delicious.
They were also super nice and kept bringing us stuff like extra plates before we even realized we needed them.

+1 for orchidea.  guest at a small wedding there a few months ago.  they did a nice job.

Yes, second marriage (actually, third for the chosson).  Wasn't at the chuppa, don't know where it was held.  Seuda was at orchidea (i thought chuppa was there, too, but I could be wrong)

Looking for place to make reasonable sheva brochos in Brooklyn.  It can be more casual.  I would like to pay not more then $20 a head
