My mother was supposed to fly today from Jacksonville to Chicago on aa. Her flight was cancelled due to the snow and she has been on hold with them for over three hours. It appears that there are no direct flights available for the rest of the week.
1. Is she entitled to any compensation?
2. Is there any easier way to reschedule ? (Lucy phone didn't work for me - kept on getting disconnected after an hour)
3. Any suggestions?

Argh! They told me I have to call

My mother started from Israel and in her reservation from the travel agent I can't even find a record locator number

My mother emailed her and she hasn't been helpful yet. Guess we have to call during office hours tomorrow in Israel

Thank you for all your help. I am not sure why she needed a travel agent in the first place but if she has one might as well get her money's worth.

Try other airlines?

United cancelled everything for tomorrow already.

Maybe Southwest to Midway?

Also, AA isn't selling ANY seat on tomorrow's flights, so if she needs AA, she can try stnadby at the Airport, but highly unlikely.

After waiting about six hours on hold - since she has an international ticket when someone picked up they put her back on hold- they were able to put her on tomorrow's direct flight, which appeared to be sold out.

Delta seems to be backed up as well. 5 hr hold time. Site not responding. Any advice?
