Anyone know a different number i can try to call United (1-800-864-8331 is what i am calling). They keep disconnecting me due to high call volume.

I need to do a same day change on a ticket issued by a different airline, on United.

 You can try calling united out of the states and you will get  agents that  usually understand english  with   no waiting

learned this 50+ years ago when i was in a country that the airline office ( in town ) was closed and needed to leave next day, looked at a time zone that was working and made the reservation -- back then had to re-write the ticket at airport -- not like today -instant!!
