Booking hotel ideas for family of 6

What is the best way to book a hotel room (preferably with points or cash deals) that is large enough for 6 people?  Or finding suites for good rates(cash or points)?  What hotels brands are best for large families (esp in Europe or Australia)? Any experience with vacation hotel type of exchanges?   Any suggestions on this topic would be great!

Have you considered AirBnB, HomeAway, or any of those?
Otherwise, you'll likely need 2 rooms everywhere you go. And it'll still be cramped.
