Paris or Rome, help me decide

I would like to make a 2-3 day stopover from NYC-TLV in  June and after reading many threads it has boiled down to Paris or Rome. Can anyone who has been to both tell me which one you would have done and why.

Restaurants and hotels should not be a factor.

did both. both very nice. when do u wanna go? either way its a lot of walking in my opinion. i didnt eat in rome and paris i did.

both were exactly the same type of trip for me. look at the historical famous locations, take pics and leave im a history-pooper. i am not into this stuff but i like to see it once.

I was saying how i dislike history. I like the part where its just famous and i know about it, but i dont care for tours and i dont care for the details of the monumental spot i am standing on.

There is far more history in rome if u ask me. Btw Vatican city and the rest of rome there is plenty for u to cover. in paris you have the obvious as well as Versailles.

If you're into history, Rome is definitely the way to go IMHO

i did rome single and paris married (x2)
