ah, guess they are extending that offer officially. I don't know how long until, but they clearly aren't planning on keeping it forever.
Would it be possible to sign up for a new sprint plan get a phone and then join this plan and pay just $40 a month?
If you find a group of 6 to join so that everyone's plan is $25 a month, and then add the fee or paying out your contract ($15 a month) I guess that equals $40.
But I'm not sure if they would also make you pay out the phone price on top of that. Meaning, right now if you are in contract and switch to Framily, they are technically supposed to charge you a fee for every month left in contract. If you want a new phone, you have the option to pay it out (depending on model, usually somewhere around $20 a month), so if you switched and bought a new phone, your monthly plan *could* be something like $60 ($25 for joing a group of 6+, $15 for contract payout + $20 for phone payout).
It sounds like you are suggesting joining a new plan with a new subsidized phone, and then switching to Framily and paying out the rest of your contract for only $15 more ($40 total, and thus avoiding a new phone fee). That might actually be a pretty solid deal, except that you probably have the keep the other plan long enough to extend past the trial period, otherwise I'm guessing they'll ask you to send the phone back (with any new plan you have a trial period to return without a penalty, usually something like 15 days or more). You'll also have to pay a pro-rated bill for the time that you had the phone under that trial period, however. So in the end, you might not actually be saving any money over just buying a phone and paying it out with a Framily plan ($25 + 20 monthly phone payment).
