It seems as though anything pertaining to this plan needs to be done in store. Online and phone reps don't seem to know as much as the store folk

Officially you can only join an existing Framily plan if you are a new customer or if you joined in the last 14 days. There may be some loopholes, FAICT what the guy did for us is he switched us to an Unlimited plan and I guess that made it be considered like we just joined so he could switch us to the Framily plan.

And if you're switching over from Sprint you have to get a new phone...

Is that the best part or the worst part. I would always go for a new phone.

That depends on whether you're interested in paying for a new phone or not...

False. I was under that impression myself as well, but my brother in law walked into a store and they did it no problem. I figured its worth a shot, I walked into a store, said I wanted to join this ID #'s plan, and within 15 minutes I walked out on their plan (I've been a Sprint customer since 07).

They didn't seem to have any trouble doing it at all!

And if you're switching over from Sprint you have to get a new phone...

Also false. If you have a Sprint phone already, use it! All the people I told about this plan so far have switched from Sprint and are continuing to use their current phones. I'm looking for a cheap replacement on ebay for mine because it is breaking.

Read a bit upthread, I was talking about switching from Sprint to T-mobile... ::)

What's the quickest way to join someone's framily plan, Web? Phone? Sprint store?
