Weather conditions
« on: January 08, 2014, 03:15:23 AM »
I recently had a flight from ord to lga, and about half hour before landing the pilot got on the mic and said that due to poor visibility he can't land in lga and had to land in Philadelphia, and because of that I had to rent a car to NY.  I was wondering if I can get money from the airline because of this, or since it was bad weather it's my lost?
Hertz President Circle!
And awesome!

Is there a good app in order to search flights that are going to day, Delta claims that there is no flights for me even with other airlines to get me to Salt Lake City, but I know that if I find something myself they'll be able to book me on it

I'm glad you asked. It depends on the weather conditions.

I had a situation last week, where they were going to trandfer me to a United  flight, but the rep could not 'see' United Express flights. I had to give her the flight # and details. Overall she was very helpful, but her system did not see the UE flights.

Matrix is showing some flights that have been cancelled

Also, Delta is telling me that they cannot book me on another airlines flight because my flight has been cancelled due to weather conditions and that would be the same with other airlines, Does that mean I need to HUCA

Why would an airline be willing to put you on a competitors flight when they can simply tell you that the flight is canceled due to weather and you need to wait for availability on their own airline.  I know Dan and others have gotten it done, but why should the airlines listen you, and what's the best argument to make to them to have them listen to you?

Thought this might be a good place for this question

I have a DL shuttle flight from washington  to  JFK-TLV. I'm concerned they may cancel or delay my shuttle flight, which is pretty common.

I have contingency plan to drive up there,I think they may let me do that if they cancel/delay, but  once I check my luggage, is there any way they would allow me to skip the shuttle, and send the luggage by itself? Or once i check in the luggage I need to take the flight?

Ye, LGA cancelled the most in NY.
Caught the last one out from LGA to MIA. Scheduled to leave 3:20, delayed till 5pm because they had to de-ice the plane. The next flights out were cancelled.

Hi, i have a flight scheduled from LGA to FLL on Tuesday 06/07 with Jetblue. They put out a Tropical Weather Fee Waiver. What are the chances my flight will cancel?

Also, i just called Jetblue they said they would only wave the first ticket but wouldn't wave the way back. IS that how it works?
