Food situation was disappointing.

Demographics: vendors: 60% brklyn, 5% Monroe, 20% lkwd, 15% others.
Job seekers: 85%lkwd
Networkers: 60% brklyn. 20% Monroe. 20% monsey/lkwd.

Male/female 80/20.

Jk. dunno, I guess all businesses are potential employers, an expo is a chance to approach them and sell yourself....

Disaster. I doubt very much was accomplished there.  Mostly people moseying around, shmoozing with people they know.  Mildly interesting speeches by harary and brofman. The 2 largest booths, Madison and Meridien, each sent a whole team there, seemed they were all sitting around a table talking amongst themselves.  If I made one good contact yesterday I'd be thrilled.

Not sure what everyone is expecting, its a general, pretty small b2b expo. The hype is definitely overdone and annoying, but if someone thinks that his business can gain from meeting other businesses its not bad at all. What else is this even supposed to be?

Would have helped if it was more organized.  Aside from those with booths, I had no idea what industry people were in, didn't know who to engage.

This was my second time going yesterday . I had to wait over an hour to get in because  their network went down  . Somewhat unprofessional !

Don't know if you'll do any networking, and you almost certainly won't get a job, but I'm sure dozens of attendees will be willing to give you SB advice.

so, just like last year, every booth is someone trying to SELL me something, no booths saying “I am hiring”, what a waste of $36 this was

I completely disagree with “sigh”. Yes there were lots of vendors offering their services to businesses, but many of them had a sign on their tables “hiring”. No, jobs were not being handed out and thrown in your face, you needed to approach the booth, hear a bit about them and then discuss their hiring needs. I personally witnessed quite a few ppl handing in resumes and being interviewed. The expo was extremely professional…some of the seminars had standing room only… There was what to gain for everyone. And most of all it was a beautiful kiddush hashem watching all of klal yisroel unite and help each other out.
