How about the "Credit Card Application Booth"?

Personally, I did meet some current and potential vendors and picked up idea or two. But a friend of mine who came looking for a job was very frustrated.

Why are you guys so negative? Frustrated that you did not find/need a job? It sounds like a wonderful event. I have a friend who flew in for it from overseas, waiting to get feedback.

I think yediot was there last year too.. As a networking affair it is decent.. as a job fair, you need to be pretty aggressive there. Last year had much more job seekers (apparently they told all their friends not to bother coming this year

).
It was nice meeting you CBC (thanks for the chair

) and seeing you DG. I went to network, and I made at least one connection. Still not sure if I'd go back again.

The problem is that as mentioned earlier this is hyped up to be the event of the year to solve everyone's parnassah woes and make them prosperous.

We are bombarded with Ads, articles, pictures, more articles explaining how this is the event of the year that must not be missed.

In reality it is a nice B2B show where people can shmooze with others and perhaps make new leads.

A inaccurate quote saying: Be part of the largest Business Networking Event in the USA
and all of the other hype became a turn off for many.

I had no idea what they were, that's why I went over to them. They explained the whole scam- you sign up for a credit card and get paid $1,500 upon approval, they do all the spending, get 175,000 MR, and sell them, and you just hope they eventually decide to pay back the $20,000 that some random person spent in your name. Yup, sounds worth it.
