CV,CV, where are you?
Airlines sending me "We're in this together" emails.

Bruh, where were you when my suitcase weighed it 51.50 pounds?

If you can remove the label intact, just repackage it into a thicker padded envelope or small box, and reapply the label onto the new package. Then take it to a window at the PO and explain that it was returned to you and you would like to re-send. Have them scan it as accepted when you hand it over.

I would use a box from a different zip code/post office simply because the staff in that branch may already have a personal issue with this package believe it or not.
They returned it,  what do i do now!
I guess you were right.

They could do that, If it has already tracking and says out for delivery for my address (sender) ?
What about voiding and reprinting will they refund?

Yes. Best would be if you hand it to a window clerk and explain that it was returned for postage reasons and are now re-sending, and have them scan it as accepted into the mailstream.

Not sure if they will refund once the tracking has shown movement - even though it was returned.

They will not refund it. I had this issue with an international package that came back. I sent it as a priority mail box, and it was a priority mail envelope. I tried reasoning that it is the same price, but the idiots (sorry CV) didn't budge.

I ended up disputing it on my amex biz gold

Also IME they will in general give you a hard time when you put a first class label that you printed on an envelope bec letters do not get tracking numbers that way only packages do - you usually have to send it via registered mail in order to have a letter tracked. IMHO you should put the letter in a new envelope, go to the post office and send it via registered mail (IIRC) to get it tracked. If the issue is you want it to get there ASAP, put it in a flat rate priority mail envelope (which you can get at the post office as well) and that will automatically include tracking information (which they will give you once you pay for it - costs about $5.60)
Not worth the effort and money IMHO. I'd just pad the envelope with some extra papers to get the weight to 3 oz or more so that it then becomes a "Thick Envelope" and send it that way. IIRC a package/thick envelope minimum price is 3oz anyway.

same label?
First id check the tracking info online for the label. If nothing shows up then id risk it if it's not time sensitive. Worst case is it gets sent back (might take a bunch of days though).

Tracking says arrival at post office and  out for delivery in my city.

So that means can't be reused?

You can reuse it. Same label. Just have the clerk scan it as accepted when you hand it over.

that guy is the nastiest person I've ever met. I sadly have to deal with him daily

They other guy was also rude,  he first told me it's illegal bit he took it and when i left he wrote on it "not a package"  return to sender.

So i should repackage and not void,  try to get them to ship?

They really take their job too seriously,
can anyone explain to me why because it says package and I put in envelope it isn't good?
They rather me bring in a big box then an envelope?

In order for it to be considered a package,  it needs to be more than 3/4' thick.  (that's what the guy in the post office told me the other day)

@meshugener,  you were right about the 99 cents tracking on a first class package.  Got it yesterday.

So I repackaged into a box ( don't ask me why that is better)
They took it and scanned it but there is no tracking update as there's already prior tracking ,it already shows delivered in Brooklyn.
Will tracking update because I need it for ebay protection?
