So I repackaged into a box ( don't ask me why that is better)
They took it and scanned it but there is no tracking update as there's already prior tracking ,it already shows delivered in Brooklyn.
Will tracking update because I need it for ebay protection?
Did you see the clerk scan it, and/or did you get a receipt? Then it's scanned. Their system could take hours to update the tracking. Give it time.

This post office is known for it's long lines, don't care about anybody and they make their own rules.

I Agree. I was once at the PO to deliver a package and took me about an hour to reach the window.
Next time will Fedex it

Out of towners,
Is your post office better?
Airlines sending me "We're in this together" emails.

Bruh, where were you when my suitcase weighed it 51.50 pounds?

Out of towners,
Is your post office better?

In Athens the post office has chairs and uses a number system  to call next customer --- the PO does mail as u would expect -- it also sells phone cards - pay electric bills -- pay phone bills, water bills etc. --it is also a bank -- in this country many are on a cash system and do not pay by credit card -- i try to stay away from it---- also no such thing as a letter box to receive mail in apt. building , postman leaves the "buildings" mail in a bundle outside of main entrance and anyone picks it up and looks for own mail , you find out a lot about a person just looking at his unopened mail that is why  i use a p.o. box

when I compare Athens with NY post offices -- about same except greater chance to run into a lazy or nasty person in ny

In order for it to be considered a package,  it needs to be more than 3/4' thick.  (that's what the guy in the post office told me the other day)

@meshugener,  you were right about the 99 cents tracking on a first class package.  Got it yesterday.
how do I get first class for 99 cents?

Mine has red carpet treatment. They are the best.
Only on DDF does 24/6 mean 24/5/half/half

I think he meant 99 cents extra besides the cost of postage.

Much (like much else about OOT life ;))
Had to used the PO in Crown Heights a couple times.  What a nightmare.
Save your time, I don't answer PM. Post it in the forum and a dedicated DDF'er will get back to you as soon as possible.

Tracking never updated, buyer filled an eBay claim as not received against me :(
