I am dumber for reading that article
Just to clarify, I didn't quote the article because it is enlightening.  I quoted it because for those who remember it was a very big deal.  The idiot who wrote it - who of course is a yid - felt it was ethical for her to cancel the deal over his not shaking her hand.  The uproar was unbelievable and everyone was writing articles in response.

So Chabad.org is mistaken?

“The reason is a rather complex, even Freudian rationale. It is felt that touching a person of the opposite gender is essentially a sexual act, or at least the precursor of a sexual act. While it is true that most handshakes between men and women do not lead to sexual relations and are not even contemplated, sexual relations always begin with touching. It is also true that a handshake does communicate feelings albeit on a superficial level.”

Everyone moves back and forth at a Matisyahu concert.  And most of them are high.

I also no that MO ppl don't go to willamsburg asking for $$ to support our schools and shuls, but i no that ppl from RW yeshivos come to teaneck all the time (i see them, they knock on my door).
I spent a Shabbos in a Satmar Bikur Cholim apartment in NYC. 2 out of 5 rooms were occupied by MO families. Satmar provided Der Yid and The Jewish Press.

We had a great Shabbos together, 2 Chasiddeshe familes, 2 MO, and 1 Litveshe.

My mother (Litvish) was being treated by a MO doctor. The doc was supposed to go on vacation, but when a Jewish Hungarian lady who knew the doc was contacted by the Skverer Rebbe to beg him to stay in the hospital, he gave up his vacation and treated my mother.

It's not always bad times when you use the bikur cholim rooms and in the NYC hospitals, sometimes it's for good things.
And yes it's amazing to see the achdus.

sky I wonder if you have something like this in your area.
Love me or hate me. I still love you.

There are at least 4 such rooms in various hospitals in CLE, I'd assume most cities do.
Save your time, I don't answer PM. Post it in the forum and a dedicated DDF'er will get back to you as soon as possible.

Not necessarily, reminds me of the time i spent shabbos in Shanghai, there were about 200 by the shabbos meal at the Chabad House, from the most secular who brought their Chinese kids along R"L to the Satmar guy who wouldn't talk Hebrew to my Israeli friend and literally every stop in between, all singing shabbos songs together. One of the most powerful experiences in my life.

True.
But I think satmar bikur cholim is the largest.

This thread reminds me of what I once heard from a bal darshen,
He said; There are 2 types of yiden, one type has 613 mitzvahs which he would do it to the best of his abilities to the utmost,

The 2nd type yid has 613 PROBLEMS which he has to deal with, so when anybody in general has a problem he would look for a solution to the problem,
So the 2nd type yid would always look for a solution [heter] to his problem...

I'm not saying this to attack anyone, just sharing a story someone told me.

There was once a guy who lived his life to the strict letter of the law. If there was a kulah or heter he always used it and was careful to never be machmir. When asked about his hashkafa in various matters he always answered "Well according to some shittos it's muttar".

After 120 he was shocked to discover that while he was allowed into Gan Eden it was a bare bones version with none of the perks he had been expecting. He was surprised and asked why if he's kept all of the halachos his entire life, he ended up with this. Is this really what Gan Eden is?
The reply?  According to some Shittos it is!!!   :)
