Where to sell stuff online
« on: January 15, 2014, 08:42:15 PM »
Hello,

I'm trying to sell a 16 GB Moto X cell phone.

I've tried listing it on Amazon, but it's a restricted item (they won't let me list it).

I've tried listing it on ebay twice.
 - the first person bought it,  but didn't pay
-  the second person bought it, but then somehow unregistered from ebay.
and there is no ebay customer support.

I'm not getting anywhere with craigslist.

Any help would be appreciated.
-Matt

There are a couple of similar sites. I think they're mostly for good condition used phones, but i think they sell new ones too. GIYF.

You can also ensure you get paid right away by selecting the option when you list that requires the buyer to make immediate payment if your listing the item as a "buy it now" item. That option is under "preferences".

Well I've relisted it on ebay, but I can't find the immediate payment option under preferences. The ebay support info says I needed to upgrade my payapal account to Premier to enable that feature. Did that and still can't find it. I did however block varied lower classes of buyer (those who are likely to not pay).

Ebay is truly horrible.

Why don't you ask some of your friends if they need it or maybe someone they might know.
That way you can even get your money immediately (that too in cash).. :)

I've asked my friends via facebook, none have the need to purchase a full priced phone (I am grandfathered into the Verizon unlimited plan).

In addition to posting it on ebay, I've also listed it on Swappa. Let's see how it goes!

Good Luck with that :)
I'll ask around if anyone needs this, but with a Moto Phone its different
