Slightly off topic but . . . . .

Your post is not slightly off topic, it is totally off topic.

The stressful part for me is the airport. By the time I'm done with my pat down (for some reason I always get one), running to the gate (why is it always the furthest one???), and folding my six-foot-eight body into a tiny coach seat like some origami project, I'm ready to be admitted.

But the planning part I happen to thoroughly enjoy - the longer the better ;D.

With the planning you seem to love, you should be booking F and you wouldn't have to recreate an origami project each time  ;D

I do enjoy telling people about my trips. However, when i am on the trip i dont think about that even a little bit.
+1
Thats  the exact problem with the whole facebook, instagram and status thing. It's always gotta be updated throughout the trip....
Not easy, but working on enjoying the moment.

The only thing that stresses me is getting glaring looks from others in J/F when we bring kids onboard.

Nu, how do you deal with those glaring looks?

Vacations are only stressful when the person you're with can't/won't do an activity you really want to do.

Obviously if someone gets sick on the trip or if the weather doesn't cooperate it's a bit annoying, but that's out of our hands anyway.

I personally don't take pictures of a trip for anyone. I take pictures to remember the trip. If an activity is too difficult to do with a camera I don't use one.

I do enjoy showing the pictures to family after the trip, but I don't really have a desire to show them to others (no Facebook,  Instagram, etc for me).  I only wrote a TR about our most recent trip because people  were asking.
