NYC to ATL seems the most efficient. Go z class for about $240 and come back on aa with avios for 7500. 2.5 hr flight each way. going to airport. coming from airport. sitting in lounge in ATL. One long day.

Is there an option to go to miami? How much will it cost one way?

I believe there is, but it's with the Atl connection...check that option.

[optional a) go to matrix software. look at the one month calendar to see the lowest fare days.]
b) go to delta.com Using one date suggested by the matrix software, fill in your dates. one way. start and end locations. scroll down the list and look in the first/ business column for 'class Z' flights. This special is good for flights in class J,C,D,I,or Z. Z is the cheapest of these.
c) on a separate paper/ word document/ spread sheet write the flight details.
d) on Delta.com press 'start again' and fill in anothe date suggested by the matrix software. see what's available.
In general, the same flights are available every day. so if they only have connecting flights in Z on one day, they'll have the same flight available the next week day.
Tue and Wed tend to have the lowest price.
3 weeks out or longer may be the best price you'll get.

My planned trip is EWR to FLL with a stop in ATL. The first leg is Z. the second is G. I just got off with Delta and the rep said it will qualify. I certainly hope so. $172.50

I've reserved mia -jfk with a stop in atl :mia-atl (I) atl- jfk (A). i found it on ita but my travel agent says its an UP fare from U. Any confirmation that this will/will not work? there seems to be mixed reviews on FT and every delta rep and sup i talk to says something else...

Per our Marketing department your reservation ******* would not qualify for this offer. The Atlanta to Miami flight does not offer Business Elite class unless you are travelling through to Dubai. When booking this flight seperately it only offers First class.

cant guarantee this is correct, but i just booked the same flight and on all external sites the same flight/price were actually different classes than on delta.com directly...mostly i believe it was one leg business elite, one economy instead of one leg business elite, one first (which should still work i would think) but for the same price you can get first for that second leg through delta...just a possibility, i may be wrong (i would also double check that booking through an agent is ok for this offer)

my second segment atl-jfk is (a) which is first class.
and the seat map for my flight clearly shows business elite seating!

I was going to do the same. While on delta there is clearly a difference between it stating first or business. Business flights are specificly Business Elite. I was going to fly JFK-ATL in business elite, then take ATL-JFK in business elite under my brother's name (already registered under promotion).

Any update on this promotion would be appreciated

I went for it! paid w/ amex but only after taking snapshots of the promo t&c's and the seat map. and after recording my call with delta rep saying my flight qualifies 100%. Hope it's not a headache

Let me know how it goes! When is the flight?
Delta rep gave me the OK and then said that it has to be transcontinental. What did you use to record? I need to do the same!
