Used to buy AJPM from Canada after they went dairy in the US but Log Cabin seems to be just as good and available here.
I've never seen it or heard of it. Have you seen it outside cleveland?

Usually companies have licensing agreements that do not allow for the import. I do have an idea of how to get the c"y b&j
for sure - and it's probably a few items from Israel that can be added to the local B & J franchise..

-Quaker Oatmeal Squares Cereal (Parve) is listed in the Wiki as only being in Canada, but all the grocery stores in Denver carry it, it's pretty good.

Exactly - I'm referring to importing just the few ingredients from Israel and manufacturing the rest of the B&J product here, in USA for retail/as a CY franchise

Whenever something is OU-D, I check the allergy warning. If it doesn't say milk, I assume it's really OU-DE. The OU itself says not to rely on that so ask your LOR. I would have to imagine that the allergy warning is actually more strict than halacha in regards to the presence of milk.

I think I once found an item that listed a milk product in the ingredients, but didn't have a milk allergy warning.

Is the allergy warning a required labeling? And do all milk derivatives require it?

If milk is listed as an ingredient, they don't have to list it as an allergen. There are no laws about needing a allergy warning.

Not everyone knows that items like "whey" mean milk.
There are no laws about needing a allergy warning.

I kind of suspect that. Which limits its utility.

(Also, if it's cholov stam, don't you need to be concerned it has pig milk, which may not have the same allergy issues?)

Personally I'm a bugles guy.  No idea how they decide which junk to import but they're leaving good money on the table.

bugles were always kosher here for the longest time. obviously it wasnt worth it for them

Yes, I was just gonna buy them for my bride to show off how good they are, and couldn't find a hechsher. Which was odd, since I clearly remembered them as kosher.

If it has allergy warnings and doesn't say milk explicitly as an ingredient, it would list it as an allergen.

Would the OU give a hecsher to something with pigs milk????
