Not amazing. He's good enough for them to win a SB. Definitely not amazing. There are only a handful of amazing QBs in the NFL now.

He could be a wacko, but the guy is great. You are correct that he hasn't faced a QB like Manning, but he can still shut down a WR. Issue is that Denver has too many great WR so him shutting down one of them won't help much. Denver had 4 WRs with 10+ TDs this season.

I just think we disagree on the meaning of amazing. Not on how good RW is. Technically, anyone who's in the NFL is amazing.

As good as Seattle's defense is I don't think they'll be able to shut down Manning - but they will definitely slow him down. On the flip-side, I'm not very confident in our offense right now. Wilson is capable, but the last few games he just hasn't been showing it. It'll be an interesting game to watch.

Not saying the multiple options for Manning isn't an issue for SEA to deal with, but their secondary is not exactly a one man show either. 3 of their 4 starting DB's were selected for the Pro Bowl. Thomas for best S in the game is probably an easier argument than Sherman for best CB.

I'm not going to pretend that the Pro Bowl is a great metric, but no matter how you slice it Seattle has a phenomenal secondary, and it's not just Sherman. That's part of what makes this a great matchup - premier passing offense vs premier passing defense.

If Manning gets time to pass it is lights out. That simple. DaBears had one of the greatest defenses of all time. Marino picked it apart because he had time to pass and ruined a perfect season.
