I was once on a Southwest flight with such a flight attendant. It's hard to overstate what a difference it makes to the entire flight. Such an introduction relaxes everyone and creates a camaraderie. It builds brand loyalty more than anything else. I'm really surprised that more airlines didn't pick up on it yet.
