Transferring Over Credit Lines
« on: January 20, 2014, 10:43:46 AM »
Can someone explain how to transfer credit lines from one card to another so as not to incur a hit to your credit? If I have a Chase Sapphire card, I clearly cannot transfer the credit to the Chase Ink card as it's a business card. What would I do though if I wanted to cancel the Ink card... Where would I transfer the credit?

The ink is a bussiness card. You can just close it.

If I transfer my CL of my oldest / first cc to a new card will I still have the credit age of my first card? Or does that only work by downgrading.

Thanks In advance :)

Welcome to the forums Mm4goog,
As long as you dont cancel the card the age continues from the first card

The OP mentioned opening a new CC. Are you aware of a way to open a new CC without any pulls?
