Mileage dilemma!!

Basically. I have a problem. I could buy a full price ticket on AA and upgrade with miles and get 5.5 cents per mile. Or I could book in first class on continental and only get 1.6 cents per mile. Choice A seems obvious but I just don't like AA.

Its a matter of personal taste. Which is more important to you, getting the most out of your mileage or having a better flying experience?
