is it possible to hook up google voice to work with my bb in israel this way can make free israel calls?
or any other ideas?

i thnk there was once a thread about this...

back in the day you could jailbreak you iphone and there was something through cydia (not an app, like a package or something) that made the phone think it was on wifi.
then you use truphone or skype

if i find any details.... not sure if i will tho

Haven't you asked this question already? It isn't possible. The Blackberry GV app initiates a phone call to connect you. The phone call us to a US number. There is no data or 3G option for GV calling (via the GV app) on the BB.

Disclaimer: i do not own a blackberry. i don't know if this will work. (i used WM/Fring/SipSorcery.com(currently closed to new accounts)) this is based on info from this forum

Step 1- open a sipgate.com free account
Step 2-install a sip client (for BB- http://www.blackvoib.com/Download/BlackVoib.jad , for Windows Mobile/Iphone use Fring.com)on your phone
Step 3- set up your sip client with your sipgate settings
Step 4- log in to google voice and put your sipgate phone number as your forwarding number
Step 5- dial from google voice website. (you will need to dial from your browser for every call. until sipsorcery reopens)

this should route the entire call through web/wifi with no 'minutes'. report back if it works
