United Help - Arr. LGA, Dept. EWR
« on: January 21, 2014, 11:00:52 AM »
So a friend of mine is booked on a flight for 2 people and a infant. They land at LGA 7pm and leave EWR 10:45pm. This is on a sunday.

These both flights are on one reservation, 3 hour transfer time.

What would be the best option for them to transfer airports and how much would it cost? Also, how long should it take them?

Any chance I can get United to put them on a earlier flight or nonstop ORD-EWR?

They likely ain't getting anywhere tonight. But yes, especially with the weather united should definitely switch you. PUTPAC. Otherwise only good option is taxi. Around $100

Oooops. They can try standby but I don't think they'll switch you in advance.
Cab should take 40-60 minutes

Any cabs have a flat rate charge?

Is three hours theoretically enough assuming they arrive on time and it doesn't take an hour to get their bags.

I just had a story where I called in saying that the connection time is to short, and they rescheduled me to a different flight. (though it was the same airport, just a earlier flight) I believe you know about PUTPAC...... so why are you hesitating...
